How holy were we, on our pilgrimage to Lindisfarne and Greenbelt?

It's called the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, so the way to get there would be to walk on water, right?


Sadly, even devout pilgrims like ourselves, wending our way to Greenbelt, and visiting on the way the site of the missionaries who brought Christianity to Northumbria - even we had to use more conventional means.



There is something incredibly un-mysterious about signs like this ;-)

    It is after all a postmodern world innit. The holy with the secular.

    We could have played Meatloaf music and prayed. Well actually Meatloaf is a sight better than many naff choruses. Although it is a triiiifle difficult to think of Adrian and Cuthbert together with Meatloaf. They probably ATE some but I doubt if they would have listened to any.
